NSF Funds $8.1 Million in Grants for EarthCube Science-Enabling Data Capabilities Program

The National Science Foundation (NSF) recently awarded sixteen grants that focus on nine EarthCube interconnected projects. The new grants engage an array of geosciences, cyberinfrastructure, computer science, and associated communities.


The new awards include the following:

“We are excited to welcome these new projects and their teams into the EarthCube community, where we look forward to supporting their needs for outreach, integration with other EarthCube projects, and being responsive to their suggestions about EarthCube’s direction,” said Christine Kirkpatrick, EarthCube Office principal investigator and division director of the San Diego Supercomputer Center’s Research Data Services Division. “These new projects enhance an already vibrant landscape of EarthCube tools, data, software, and services, and allow us to focus on integrating new geosciences capabilities while simultaneously exploring new frontiers in geosciences research.”
