Helping geoscience communities continuously organize information and knowledge
The CINERGI project, http://www.earthcube.org/group/cinergi, is providing help to set up community resource inventory viewers. Resources include webpages, databases, applications, services, and more. The viewer allows users to quickly discover and access resources to help with their scientific research. In addition, it will allow community members to edit existing resource descriptions or contribute additional references to resources. These resources will be included into the broader CINERGI inventory, but available in a separate viewer to fit your community’s search and keyword needs.
To create a community resource inventory, there are just three steps: Step 1: Prepare an initial collection in a spreadsheet. Step 2: CINERGI will set up your community resource viewer. Step 3: Community editing, updates and curation.
Using the CINERGI template, prepare a spreadsheet with the following columns. Contact us if you have any questions about the fields.
Short name of the resource, but spell out acronyms e.g. NCALM - National Center for Airborne Laser Mapping

The classification or theme is a term that the community would use to categorize the themes of the resources. e.g. topography, climate, hydrology, laboratory
