iSamples Webinars held during the Fall of 2016 will focus on the efforts of the four iSamples working groups. The working groups aim to identify, develop, and build consensus around best practices and standards for sample registration, identification, citation, and metadata. The webinars will take place every other Wednesday from 1:00-2:00 pm Eastern Time beginning on October 19th. iSamples Working Group 3: Engagement & Training

The mission of the iSamples Engagement & Training working group is to communicate the benefits and leading practices of documenting and sharing physical samples and associated metadata. Our focus is to help individual investigators and research teams to responsibly manage sample information using existing resources to communicate leading practices in sample data management. Primary activities include Early Career events, the development of Sample Management Training Modules, and an Ambassador Program. This webinar will discuss ongoing and planned efforts within the working group and will invite audience feedback.
